"Life as a graphic designer cannot be easy. They have to deal with art directors, other designers, artists, photographers, editors, copy writers, printers, and members of the public. Some of these people can be very precise in their requirements, others can have a rough idea, and less often, sometimes they haven't got a clue. A graphic designer has to work with all of them. There can be very tight deadlines, time is money, and sometimes it can get a little hectic.

In the past I have worked with some of the best. Never has it been such a pleasure as this project. It is rare indeed to find someone these days with a strong work ethic, and is uncompromising in standards. With almost psychic ability this lady zeroed in on our needs, and met them head on. Within a very short time we had some interpretations to view, based on a general theme. A little tweaking here and there, and the job was done, cheerfully, willingly, speedily, and efficiently. We now consider Jenny to be one of our team, she has earned that right by having the right attitude, the right skills, and being such a thoroughly nice person. We cannot wait until we work with her again, and surely we will.

We all have to farm out a job from time to time, due to commitments. It is always a worry, and sometimes it is quicker and better to do the job yourself. Not in this case it wasn't, it was fun. Rarely does one rapidly build a rapport, and relax in the knowledge that it is being done, and done well. Should I be telling you this? I'm not sure. But we consider Jenny to be a fellow professional, and a friend, and an extremely valuable cyber-employee. It would be disloyal to not tell you. "From first to last, Jen was filled with an energy, zest and professional vigour to complete our vague and open-ended project. Our brief was so non-specific, that we could easily have been disappointed with the end result, even if the design was out of this World...such are the intense demands of a modern publisher...this would not have been Jen's fault, of course, but this to illustrate the scenario in which she, happily and without any fuss or worry, found herself immersed and then set to sorting us out.

Issuing her numerous textual changes did not test her patience nor did it seem to interfere with her creative energies; these, alone, are qualities rarely found in designers but when coupled with an extraordinary 'eye' for design, a relentless passion for customer service and computer skills which far outweigh this 20 year industry veteran it adds up to a service which we have been delighted to have discovered.

A rare find, and we are always looking. At least we were, we'll stop now. Our design, courtesy of Jen, is exceptional. We really, truly, love it. It is already being noticed, talked about and becoming a point of conversation. That's what we wanted, that's what we hoped for, that's what we dreamed of and we always strive for this and rarely does it all come together.
Well, we got it in buckets with Jen.

A ground breaking 'first' occurred, in our company. People normally filled with antipathy towards the type of project Jen undertook, spent a long time looking at her drafts, yet could find not a single negative point upon which to place on the design. I would say, that from the first draft Jen got the formula utterly correct, no need for major changes, it was all minor textual adjustments [instigated by our desire for different wording] and minor layout adjustments as a consequence. That also, is quite ground breaking.

Will we use Jen again? You can bet your life on it. Do we want YOU to know about her? Well, no, not really as she's our 'secret weapon' now and we don't want you having brilliant designs like ours. However, if she MUST have other clients [!] then I would implore you to trust her with your projects, you'd be foolish to NOT let her undertake your design work. I am usually loathe to advise anyone of our suppliers, but Jen will undoubtedly be well known and regarded, with or without us, so I'll lay claim to being one of her clients and lunch out on that, in years to come.
